If you’ve ever frantically Googled “How to download a TikTok without a watermark”, or “Download TikTok no watermark without losing quality” you’re not alone. The results that populate are dismal too - the typical response is to use a watermark remover website, which requires you to actually post the TikTok, add the link into the website, download it, and then reupload to the appropriate platform. This is fine when you’re doing this for your own brand, but when working with content creators or influencers it gets a little more complicated.

Why should you download your TikToks without a watermark in the first place? 

The main reason why we love downloading videos without watermarks is for crossposting purposes. You can post a TikTok directly to Instagram Reels with the watermark, however we’ve found that Instagram doesn’t push out a lot of content that has the TikTok logo on it. 

Another reason is that if you’re working with influencers or content creators, you don’t want to have their watermark on a video that you post to your account. Typically they will have to post to their own account, use a watermark remover, and then quickly delete the video from their page. This is a huge hassle and can oftentimes lower the video quality, but we’ve found a great workaround.

 How to export your TikToks without losing quality

Downloading TikToks without a watermark and without losing quality is easier than you think - all you have to do is screen record your drafts!

For iPhone

1. Add video to TikTok editor
2. Finalize all edits, including any on-screen text and stickers
3. Move on to “Next”
4. When you’re in the “Post” page, tap the thumbnail of the video (right above the “Select Cover”)
5. Tap the rectangular icon in the upper right corner to make the video full screen
6. Screen record the video
7. Make sure you select ‘Microphone Off’
8. Long press the Screen Record function on the control center
9. Once you have your recorded video, cut it to length
10. Crop the video to remove the “recording” light and the bottom line

Make sure to turn on Do Not Disturb so you don’t accidentally record any notifications.

For Android

1. Add video to TikTok editor
2. Finalize all edits, including any on-screen text and stickers
3. Move on to “Next”
4. When you’re in the “Post” page, tap the thumbnail of the video (right above the “Select Cover”)
5. Tap the rectangular icon in the upper right corner to make the video full screen
6. Screen record the preview
7. Long-press “Screen recorder” to enter its settings and enable "Media sounds" to record your phone's audio
8. Once you have your recorded video, cut it to length 
9. Crop the video to remove the “recording” sign and the bottom line
